Residency Information

The following information is current as of September 1st 2005.  The
immigration laws in Honduras change frequently and you should contact an
attorney here to confirm the filing requirements.  I have retained George
LaFosse to assist me with my residency applications and changes and have
been very satisfied with the results.  His contact information can be found at
the bottom of this document.

All the documents required for any of the above residencies must be
legalized in country of origin.  These include but are not limited to:

You should contact the Honduran consulate nearest you to confirm the
documentation requirements.  You must visit the consulate to have your
notarized documents authenticated by the consul there and fill out a form
required by the government here.  This is best accomplished prior to you
moving here.

Approval of residency after filing: about 6 months

Contact George LaFosse in Tegucigalpa, Honduras for additional
information.  George handled Donna’s residency application and got it
approved in five months.  That’s light speed compared to the experience
others have had using different attorneys.
