About Us and Our Business
Jim and Donna moved to Roatan in 2001and have lived here full time
ever since. Jim has been visiting Roatan since 1988, built a home here
in 1996, and has witnessed, first hand, the tremendous changes that
have occurred here since his first visit.
Donna got her first taste of the island when we moved here six years
ago. She really enjoys herself here; snorkeling, diving and swimming,
She also conducts swimming classes for young children, getting them
in the water early in life. She participates in the annual Triathlon here
in the spring. Last year she swam the one mile open ocean course in 22
minutes! Her current plans include a 20.5 mile open water swim from
Roatan to Utila.
Jim spent twenty-eight years with IBM in software development and the
marketing of large, mainframe transaction processing systems (aka
dinosaurs). He retired in 1997 and worked for several software
development companies, in California and Texas, until 2001. Then it
was time to move to the island in the spring of that year. He has since
become involved in the real estate business and keeps busy helping
folks find their Caribbean dream here.
This site will contain general information about Honduras as it relates
to the Bay Islands and detailed information about Roatan, the largest
of the three main islands. It will also contain news about lodging,
useful tips for your vacation plans and new real estate opportunities.
